Iran Women's National Team Represents Resilience and Hope

Faerideh Shojaei, Vice President of the Football Federation for Women's Affairs, emphasized the symbolic significance of the women’s national football team’s participation in the upcoming Asian Cup qualifiers in Jordan, describing the players as ambassadors of Iranian women’s dignity and strength.

“Our players are not only competing for victories on the pitch they are entering this tournament as symbols of honor and pride for Iranian women,” Shojaei said in an official statement published by the Federation.

A high-level coordination meeting was held earlier today, attended by Federation President Mehdi Taj, Secretary General Heydat Membani, Head Coach Marziyeh Jafari, and Team Manager Fatemeh Boudaghi, to address flight limitations and logistical planning for the trip to Jordan.

Shojaei announced that the delegation will travel under the symbolic title “Caravan of Resistance,” reflecting the players’ perseverance, national pride, and unwavering commitment to representing Iran on the international stage.

“Despite the challenges, the girls are fully motivated and united. They’ve worked hard in training and understand the weight of the responsibility they carry. Their goal is clear to shine for Iran,” she added.

Shojaei concluded her remarks by urging the public to support the team:

“Please keep the team in your prayers. Their presence in this tournament is a powerful message of resilience, determination, and hope. We are proud of these young women and believe they will give their all for Iran.”
